Burmuda Shorts

bermuda_shorts.jpgMy trip to Bermuda is quickly approaching. We’ll be flying in to Providence, RI, wherever the hell that is, on 8/4. We’ll take some train to Boston, stay the night, and leave on our Bermuda cruise on 8/5. We’ll return on 8/12 and fly back to Reno. Should I be spending the money?? Nope. But I’m going with my best friend since 7th grade, Barbie. Of course our better halves are coming as well, but it’s actually the first trip Barbs and I have ever taken together.

Our Itinerary looks like this:

Leave Reno at 12:20 am on 8/4

Layover in Texas, Arrive in Providence (wherever in the hell that is) at 1:00 pm

Train to Boston, Stay night of 8/4 at this very cool little place:http://www.hotelmarlowe.com/.

The Hotel Marlowe, what a cute place in Cambridge. We’ll visit the Black Rose that evening, which is an authentic Boston pub located in Faneuil Hall. I’ve never been east of the Mississippi except to visit Disney World, so this is an added treat.

The next day, we hop on the Norwegian Cruise Line Ship the Majesty for a seven night cruise to Bermuda.bermuda5_575x219.jpg

Or Cruise Itinerary:

Sunday: Leave Boston at 4 pm

Monday: At sea

Tuesday: St George, Bermuda 10 am

Wednesday: St. George, Bermuda

Thursday: St. George, Bermuda

Friday leave St George

Saturday: at sea

Sunday: Back to Boston

I’ve done tons of research but I’m not sure what to expect. I’ve been to Mexico plenty of times, but as much research as I do, I just can’t get a handle on Bermuda. It’s tropical, but it looks very different than what I’m used to. Bermuda is a British overseas territory, the oldest remaining one, actually.  The sand is pink, and the water is turquoise. My two favorite colors.120px-bermuda_beach.jpg
